Proportion of Indigenous regular clients, aged 15 and over, who had an AUDIT-C result recorded within the previous 24 months with a score of:

  • greater than or equal to 4 in males and 3 in females; or
  • less than 4 in males and 3 in females.
Rationale:Help on this term

Excessive or hazardous alcohol consumption is associated with health and social problems in all populations, including Indigenous Australians. The information generated using AUDIT-C screening test may be used to advise or refer the person to change their drinking habit.
