Guide for use:	Count number of days. A day is measured from midnight to 2359 hours. Contract patient days are included in the total count of patient days. If necessary, contract patient days can be distinguished from other patient days by using the following rules: The day the contract commences is counted as a contract patient day. If the patient is on contract from midnight to 2359 count as a contract patient day. The day a contract is completed is not counted as a contract patient day. If the patient is admitted and commences a contract on the same day, this is not counted as a contract patient day. If a contract is completed and the patient is separated on the same day, the day should not be counted as a contract or other patient day.
