Guide for use:

This data item is a mandatory item for national reporting against the data element:

Non-admitted patient service event-group session indicator, yes/no code N

Collection methods:

The appointment session type code in the NAPAAWL DC is used to derive the group session indicator.

Records with a value of GRP for the appointment session type code will be assigned a value of 1 for the group session indicator. All other records will be assigned a value of 2 for the group session indicator.

An interaction between a clinician and a non-admitted patient can be in a group setting with multiple patients but may not necessarily meet the criteria for a non-admitted patient service event.
