Remoteness and SEIFA Index of Relative Socio-economic Disadvantage (IRSD) are based on postcode of residential address at the time of diagnosis.

Presented as a number and per 100,000.

Computation:

100,000 × (Numerator ÷ Denominator)

Calculated separately for each type of cancer.
Numerator:

For melanoma, bowel and lung cancer: Number of new cases in the reported year

For cervical and breast cancer in females: Number of new cases in women in the reported year
