Guide for use: | CODE 998 Occasional smoking (less than one) ‘In the first 20 weeks’ is defined as less than 20 completed weeks’ gestation (<20 weeks). ‘Usually’ is defined as ‘according to established, or frequent usage; commonly, ordinarily; as a rule’. If a female reports having quit smoking at some point in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, the value recorded should be the number of tobacco cigarettes usually smoked daily prior to quitting. |
