Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone drug and alcohol services offer follow-up care for clients who have been discharged from a residential rehabilitation service and non-residential care. This includes counselling, assessment, treatment, education, support or follow-up from residential services.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone substance use service non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care cluster describes the number of episodes of non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care provided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone substance use services.

The four data elements are used together to provide a count of non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care by the Indigenous status, age ranges and sex of clients.

  • Mobile Assistance Patrol/night patrol that are taken to your shelter.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone substance use service is required to provide numbers of non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care for male, female and total clients by Indigenous status and age group (0–18, 19–35 and 36 years and over), as detailed in the Scope, Episodes of care for non-residential/follow-up/aftercare table. The total Indigenous and non-Indigenous episodes may include unknown or not reported sex. Total sex may include unknown or not reported Indigenous status.
