Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone drug and alcohol services offer follow-up care for clients who have been discharged from a residential rehabilitation service and non-residential care. This includes counselling, assessment, treatment, education, support or follow-up from residential services.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone substance use services non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care cluster describes the number of episodes of non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care provided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander standalone substance use services.

The four data elements are used together to provide a count of non-residential/follow-up/aftercare episodes of care by the Indigenous status, age ranges and sex of clients.
