Guide for use: | Record the reason(s) second-line treatment was administered for cancer. This item can be recorded multiple times for each person with cancer (for example both incomplete response and toxic effects) and may be updated if any of the supplementary values were previously recorded. It may be given when the cancer doesn't respond to first-line treatment, when first-line treatment has side effects that are not tolerated, or for disease progression or recurrence following a disease-free interval. The first recurrence may be many years after initial diagnosis and treatment for some patients. |
