Description:![]() | The 2012-13 Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey (AATSIHS) is a health survey of Indigenous Australians conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The core component is the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey (NATSIHS) plus the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey (NATSINPAS). This survey, which was conducted in remote and non-remote areas throughout Australia, was designed to collect a range of information from Indigenous Australians about health related issues, including health status, risk factors and actions, and socioeconomic circumstances. This collected new information on nutrition and physical activity, as well as the first national biomedical information collection. |
