Accountability attributes

Reporting requirements:Help on this term

SDAC 2009 for all data except Indigenous; NATSISS 2008 for Indigenous data; General Social Survey (GSS) 2006 for comparison data.

Organisation responsible for providing data:Help on this termAustralian Bureau of Statistics with input from AIHW on social and community activities in scope.
Benchmark:Help on this termn/a.
Other issues caveats:Help on this term

Available disaggregation depends on sampling errors and other caveats.

Reporting issues are the same as listed in performance indicator a.

SDAC data are collected every three years.

2009 SDAC does not provide this data for the Indigenous population, therefore Indigenous data needs to be taken from a different source (e.g. NATSISS 2008).

The NATSISS uses the abbreviated form of the Disability Module, which is less detailed than the SDAC.

Social and community activities as defined in the NATSISS are more culturally appropriate for Indigenous Australians than those in the SDAC.

Comparison data for the non-disabled population is only available for the first of these performance indicators, from the General Social Survey 2006, and then only for adults.
