Key demographic set for use in Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) health surveys. It is intended to be used by anyone conducting population health surveys using the CATI mode, such as State/Territory government health agencies. This data set is to standardise demographic collection in all CATI surveys of health topics, such as CATI asthma and CATI diabetes surveys.

The standardisation of the collection of health survey data is a major focus of the National Public Health Partnership (NPHP) work plan. The CATI demographic module National best practice data set is not mandated for collection but recommended as best practice.
