'Relationship in household' underlies the suite of standards for Family statistics. It identifies and classifies the key relationships between persons usually resident in a given household. Although some collections output directly to the classification of 'Relationship in household', its major use is in providing the basis for derivation of 'Family composition', 'Income unit composition', 'Household composition' and 'Social marital status'. The 'Relationship in household' standard facilitates the definition, collection and classification of household relationship data in statistical collections. |
