CODE 1 Other placement in the same jurisdiction Where the child has moved to another placement within the state ot territory, that fits the definition of out-of-home care. CODE 2 Placement in another jurisdiction Where the child moves interstate and the care of the child is transferred to the child protection authority in another jurisdiction. CODE 3 Independent living Where the child is living independently, with no assistance from the child protection agency or their delegate. They may be alone or in a group home. CODE 4 Residing with at least one parent Where the child left the placement to live with at least one of his/her parents. CODE 5 Residing with other relative/kin Where the child left the placement care to live with a member of his/her family or kin. CODE 6 Child adopted Where the child was adopted and the adoption was approved by the government authority. CODE 7 Permanent care arrangement Where arrangements have been made for the child to be placed permanently with a carer, and all support from the department and agency has been withdrawn. CODE 8 Juvenile justice or adult correction facility Where the child has been sentenced by the court to reside for a specified time in a juvenile or adult correctional facility. CODE 9 Child unable to be located Includes children who have absconded and those who have been removed from their placement without the agreement of the child protection authority or their delegate. CODE 10 Child died CODE 11 Other residential This includes disability and mental health services which are not in scope of the out-of-home care collection. CODE 12 Other Where the residence does not fit into the above categories.
