Guide for use: | Code 1. Yes: A household has a formal tenancy agreement for a particular dwelling. Occupied dwellings include any structures that people actually live in regardless of its intended purpose. The structure may or may not be tenantable. Code 2. No: No formal tenancy agreement exists between a household and a housing provider for a particular dwelling. A not occupied structure is only a dwelling if it is intended for human residence. The structure may or may not be tenantable. Thus a shed, garage, office, etc. is counted as an occupied dwelling if people are living there, but is not counted as vacant if there are no residents as the purpose of the structure is not for human habitation. |
