Synonymous name(s) - Classification Scheme
The following information is applicable to classification scheme.
Definition
One or more synonyms for the metadata item name within the context of the given item. For older metadata items that existed prior to METEOR, the synonymous name is the name of the metadata item as it existed in the AIHW Knowledgebase.

Optional completion.
Development rules
List any synonyms for the metadata item name which may be used to identify the item.
Express the first word of each synonymous name with a capital letter. Express all other words in a synonymous name with lower-case letter, unless referring to a proper noun. For example synonymous names for the property Procedure may include: Clinical intervention; Operation; Surgery
Separate each synonymous name with a semicolon and space.
End the list of synonymous names without a full stop.
For classification schemes, state the abbreviated title, including the version/edition number (if any) e.g. International Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision, Australian Modification 3rd edition would read ICD-10AM-3rd edn.
If the classification scheme has an edition or version number, abbreviate the term edition with edn, and version with v. e.g. ICD-10-AM 3rd edn; NCCS v. 2.0.
If there is no version/edition associated with the classification scheme, insert the year of publication after the name of the classficiation scheme, e.g. North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) Taxonomy 1997-1998 would read NANDA 1997-1998.
