Clinical services that are not specifically identified in this Guide for use should be classified as one of the groups in the data domain on the basis of the type of clinical professional staff involved in providing the service event. In paediatric hospitals, the full range of service types should be used. That is, paediatric medical should be reported as medical and paediatric surgical should be reported as surgical.
