The number of occasions of service delivered by residential aged care service employees.

Outpatients are patients who receive non-admitted care. Non-admitted care is care provided to a patient who is not formally admitted but receives direct care from a designated clinic within the residential aged care service.

Required to adequately describe the services provided to non-admitted patients.

Apart from acute hospitals, establishments generally provide a much more limited range of services for non-admitted patients and outreach/community patients/clients. Therefore disaggregation by type of episode is not as necessary as in acute hospitals.
