Children and Families
The Children and Families Data Network (CAFDaN) is an informal network of senior representatives from government agencies with responsibility for child and family services, as well as the AIHW, and provides essential authorisation and strategic oversight of collection, development and reporting work associated with national children and family services data.
The CAFDaN is the forum for monitoring, implementing and further specifying as required the work plan for national child and family services data. As a key member of the CAFDaN, the AIHW will provide expert input and advice in relation to the work program as well as coordinating work on its behalf, in collaboration with state and territory departments responsible for child and family services. This program of work will include the production of key reports as well as projects identified under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIHW and state and territory departments responsible for child and family services,
