This data element captures the size of the presenting unit. The presenting unit is defined as the unit that presents for assistance from a specialist homelessness agency. The presenting unit may be a single person or a group of people. For example a family presenting together for services would be a presenting unit.
Children are to be included in the count of people presenting for assistance. That is the presenting unit.
