The National Prisoner Health Data Collection (NPHDC) is the main data source for reporting on the National Prisoner Health Indicators in the report series, The health of Australia’s prisoners. The NPHDC contains data provided by the state and territory departments responsible for prisoner health, through a data collection conducted in prisons throughout Australia. It includes confidentialised unit record data for prison entrants, prison dischargees, and prison clinic visits over a 2 week period, plus medications taken by prisoners, information on the operation of prison clinics, and information on prison health services at jurisdictional level. |
