Guide for use:Help on this term

Where there is a need to transfer an Australian address that does not conform to the commonly used address format, the unstructured address lines may be used.

Example
Cabin 44 Block 7 (Unstructured Address Line 1)
HMAS Watson (Unstructured Address Line 2)

Unstructured address lines can also be used to record overseas addresses that may follow different formats to that of Australian addresses.

Common differences between Australian and overseas addresses are:
- Street name preceding street number
- Postcode format
- Postcode preceding locality name

Example:
32, Kasumigaseki 1 Chome (Overseas Address Line 1)
Chiyoda-ku (Overseas Address Line 2)

While the NAPAAWL DC allows for two lines of unstructured address details, not all lines need to be used.

Comments:Help on this termMailing address is only relevant if it is different to the residential address. It is only recorded in the NAPAAWL DC if the patient agrees to provide it.
