This data element is derived to identify people with activity limitations reported in the Activity and participation need for assistance cluster (Standardised Disability Flag)

Comments:Help on this term

The Activities and Participation list in the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health can be viewed as either individual functioning (activities) or societal functioning (participation) (WHO 2001).

Activity limitations are difficulties an individual may have in executing activities. Participation restrictions are problems an individual may experience in involvement in life situations.
