The two-digit area code should be abbreviated to one-digit when used in conjunction with leading country code. If this is the case, the leading ‘0’ in the area code should be removed, e.g. 03 55551234 becomes 61 3 55551234.

When a country code is used in conjunction with an area code and phone number it should be arranged in the following order: (Country Code) + (Area Code) + Phone Number.
