Comments:![]() | Comparability with similar reporting This indicator has been derived using a similar approach to that used for the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children Indicator (NFPAC) 5.4 and National Out-of-Home Care Standards (NOOHCS) Indicator 10.1 (AIHW 2022b), both of which also report on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged 0–17 in out-of-home care who have cultural support plans. ATSICPP Indicator 2.2, however, is different to these indicators in the following ways:
Time in out-of-home care For this indicator, the ‘time in out-of-home care’ disaggregation provides a measure of how many children who have been in out-of-home care for different amounts of time have current documented and approved cultural support plans. The disaggregation does not indicate how long it has taken from a child’s entry to out-of-home care to approve their cultural support plan—it is not possible to determine the date of approval of cultural support plans with available data. |
