CODE 2 Married Includes situations where there are two adoptive parents who are legally married to each other and living together at the time of placement of the child. This may include people who have been divorced or widowed but have since re-married. CODE 3 De facto relationship Includes situations where there are two adoptive parents who are not legally married, but are living together in a de facto relationship as defined by the state or territory in which they live, and should be generally accepted as applicable to de facto couples of the same sex.
