Guide for use: | In the absence of nationally consistent code sets or values for recording clinical finding ‘free text’ may be used, with the future intention of mapping to and use of an established terminology. Interventions may be recorded for all allied health service events performed by an allied health service provider within the professions identified in Allied health service event—provider profession, code AA[AAA] Each allied health service event may have one or more interventions recorded, up to a maximum of 99. Interventions may be profession specific. There may be some professions that do not record an intervention. Where codeset values are used this field should record the code as well as the meaning of the code as text. |
---|---|
Collection methods: | Each jurisdiction will implement a locally agreed code set for collection of the data element. This may be borrowed or adapted from another jurisdiction. Intervention code sets should list activities that improve, maintain or determine the health of the person receiving the allied health service event. Intervention code sets may be profession specific or shared amongst a number of professions. An allied health service provider may use a profession specific code set for this data element. |
Comments: | Subsequent analysis of locally agreed values will contribute to developing national standardised values in the future. |
