Admitted patients: this item can be derived from Episode of admitted patient care—separation date, DDMMYYYY

Residential patients: this item can be derived from Episode of residential care—episode end date, DDMMYYYY 

For the purposes of activity based funding reporting, the following information is applicable for ambulatory patients: This item must occur on the same date as a reportable service contact. It may occur due to a discharge from the service or a period of inactivity. If the episode of mental health care has a period of inactivity that is greater than 120 days, the episode of care should be ended. In the case of an episode of care being ended for the reason of inactivity, the episode end date will be the date of the last service contact in the episode of care.
