Number of regular clients who are Indigenous, who gave birth within the previous 12 months and who had gestational age recorded at their first antenatal care visit with results either:

  • less than 13/40 weeks;
  • 13/40 weeks to less than 20/40 weeks;
  • at or after 20/40 weeks or;
  • no result.

Computation description:Help on this term

Number of regular clients who are Indigenous, who gave birth within the previous 12 months and who had gestational age recorded at their first antenatal care visit with results either:

  • less than 13/40 weeks;
  • from 13/40 weeks to less than 20/40 weeks;
  • at or after 20/40 weeks or;
  • no result.

‘Regular client’ refers to a client of an Australian Government Department of Health-funded primary health care service (that is required to report against the Indigenous primary health care key performance indicators) who has an active medical record; that is, a client who has attended the Department of Health-funded primary health care service at least 3 times in 2 years.

‘Birth’ includes live births and still births if the birthweight was at least 400 grams or the gestational age was 20 weeks or more.

'Previous 12 months' refers to either the previous financial year or the previous calendar year.

Calculation B: Number of regular clients who are Indigenous, who gave birth within the previous 12 months and who had gestational age recorded at their first antenatal care visit with results at or after 13/40 weeks and less than 20/40 weeks.

Calculation C: Number of regular clients who are Indigenous, who gave birth within the previous 12 months and who had gestational age recorded at their first antenatal care visit with results at or after 20/40 weeks.

Calculation D: Number of regular clients who are Indigenous, who gave birth within the previous 12 months and who did not have gestational age recorded at their first antenatal care visit.
