Comments: | Regular care is defined as care provided by the recipient to a child between 14% and 34% of the time. This is between 52 and 127 nights a year, or 2 to 4 nights of care a fortnight. Recipients with regular care children are eligible for Family Tax Benefit Rent Assistance. Where a recipient who is paying child support payments also has regular care of a child, the child support payments are adjusted to acknowledge that the recipient directly contributes to the costs of raising the child through regular care. |
