The Address communication suppression cluster defines the data elements used to collect information relating to the suppression of an address, which is defined as a collection of information used for describing the location of an entity, and/or details describing how the entity can be contacted.

The address may be either a physical address, such as home address, or an electronic address, such as an email address. Any physical or electronic address can be suppressed for a range of administrative, personal and legal reasons.

An address can be flagged as subject to suppression, in which case it may not be provided, or may be provided subject to data exchange agreements not to publish or forward the information.
