Collection and usage attributes |
Guide for use: | The main components of gross income are: - current usual wages and salary
- income derived from self-employment
- government pensions, benefits and allowances
- other income comprising investments (including interest, dividends, royalties and rent) and other regular income (including superannuation, private scholarships received in cash, workers' compensation, accident compensation, maintenance or alimony, and any other allowances regularly received).
Gross income is regarded as all receipts which are received regularly and are of a recurrent nature. Certain receipts such as lump sum receipts, windfall gains and withdrawals from savings are not considered to conform to these criteria and are not included as income. |
