The Person income cluster describes income records for week ending 30 June, for all persons in households ongoing at 30 June, and whose details are provided in the Person cluster.

Collection methods:Help on this term

State and territory housing authorities provide the data to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare for national collation on an annual basis.

Include:

  • Multiple income records for persons with different income types.
  • Income records for persons in households in dwellings headleased and managed by state housing authority.

Exclude:

  • Income records for persons in households residing in dwellings owned but not administered by the jurisdiction (e.g. leased to other program areas and not administered by state housing authority).

Data qualifications:

  • No rounding should be applied to income amounts
