This code should only be present in historical data records. It represents instances where a prescriber was qualified as both a medical practitioner and a dental practitioner, i.e. the only fields of specialty that were able to be authorised as PBS prescribers prior to 1 January 2008.

From 1 January 2008, optometrists have been able to be authorised as PBS prescribers.

From 1 September 2010, nurse practitioners and midwives have been able to be authorised as PBS prescribers.
