Guide for use:Help on this term

In the context of the PBS, the date of supply represents the date on which the patient or PBS consumer receives the prescribed medicinal products from the pharmacy, i.e. it essentially equates to the date of purchase.

In most cases, the date of supply is likely to be the same as the date of dispensing which appears on the label affixed to the packaging of the prescribed medicinal product by the pharmacist. There may be some instances where the patient does not take delivery of the medicinal products immediately, in which case the date of supply and date of dispensing may be different.
