The Bringing Them Home/Link Up Counselling Program client contacts cluster describes the number of individual client contacts made by counsellors funded under the Bringing Them Home or Link Up Counselling Program by the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH).

The data elements are used together to provide a count of the number of client contacts by the Indigenous status and sex of the Bringing Them Home or Link Up Counselling Program clients.

Collection and usage attributes

Guide for use:Help on this term

An individual client contact is where a client has contact with the Bringing Them Home or Link Up Counsellor for the provision of care/information. A separate contact is counted each time the client has contact with a counsellor.

Includes:

  • phone contacts if they involve provision of care.

Excludes:

  • Group work
  • Other individuals/family members involved in family/relationship counselling unless they have their own file or record. These are counted as separate contacts.
