CODE 1     Prior to presentation at hospital

Use this code when the person has been previously prescribed aspirin prior to presentation at the hospital and the person is still following the prescription.

CODE 2     First 24 hours of presentation

Use this code when aspirin is prescribed within the first 24 hours following presentation to the hospital.

CODE 3      After 24 hours and before discharge

Use this code when aspirin is prescribed following the first 24 hours after presentation to the hospital and before discharge from the hospital.

CODE 4     At discharge

Use this code when aspirin is prescribed at discharge from the hospital.
