CODE 1 Protective services Includes case plan development and management. CODE 2 Intensive family support services Those services that aim to prevent imminent separation of children from their primary caregivers because of child protection concerns, and those services that aim to reunify families where separation has already occurred. CODE 3 General support services Those services not included above that are either funded or provided by the community services department. CODE 4 Respite care Out-of-home care provided on a temporary basis. For example, when the parents or guardians are ill or unable to care for the child on a short term basis. This does not include emergency care provided to children who have been removed for their homes for protective reasons. CODE 5 Advice/referral to another type of service Any service that is not provided or funded by the community service department. This can include: mental health, education, drug and alcohol, community health, private psychologists, etc To be completed as services are provided. It should be updated as soon as a new service is being provided to the child. However, it should only be updated once per type of service. For example, if a child’s family is provided with general family support more than once, it should only be recorded the first time the child’s family uses this support. |
