Description:
Proportion of the working aged population employed.
Rationale:
Participation in employment has important consequences for living standards, social and emotional wellbeing and participation in the community. This is a key measure of the target to halve the gap in Indigenous employment outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians within a decade.
Crude rates are calculated, including relative standard errors and confidence intervals.
Rate ratios and rate differences are calculated for Indigenous:non-Indigenous.
