The Australian Bureau of Statistics has suggested that a maximum field length of 50 characters should be sufficient to record the vast majority of locality names.
This metadata item may be used to describe the location of a workplace. It can be a component of a street or postal address.
Collection methods:
Enter 'Unknown' when the locality name or geographic area for an organisation is not known.
