National Community Services Data Dictionary (NCSDD) version 5

The national metadata standards for the community services sector are published in the National Community Services Data Dictionary (NCSDD) by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. The NCSDD is the reference on agreed data definitions and information standards of relevance to the community services sector. In essence, the aim is to provide a common language for the various agencies and governments involved in community services.

The National Community Services Data Dictionary (NCSDD) version 5 was downloaded from METEOR in July 2008 and converted to a PDF format. The NCSDD is available from the AIHW publications page. This includes the Summary of Changes to the data elements and data set specifications since version 4.3 of the NCSDD.
