Using e-mail alerts

METeOR provides an e-mail alerts facility which notifies users of changes to a given metadata item. This facility is beneficial to users who may have particular interest in one or more metadata items, and require to be aware of any changes to them. When they no longer wish to recieve notification, they can easily unsubscribe from the service.

How to subscribe to e-mail alerts

From a search results page, My items page or Workgroup page:

  1. Select the check box to the left of the metadata item(s) name for which you wish to recieve alerts.
  2. General users should then enter their email address in the text field located on the right of the page in the E-mail alerts action items box and click the Subscribe button.
  3. All other users should click the E-mail me changes to this item link located on the right of the page in the E-mail alerts action items box.
  4. If you are a general user, you will be sent a verification e-mail from with instructions on how to confirm the subscription.
